As part of the Empowerment Through Entrepreneurship (ETE) project, participants took part in an engaging and interactive training session themed “The Bicycle Analysis to Business Sustainability: Why Skills Training Alone Is Not Enough.” The session emphasized that acquiring a vocational skill is only the beginning of the entrepreneurial journey. Participants were encouraged to understand that sustainable business success requires continuous learning, mentorship, financial literacy, business development, and market access.
The students actively participated throughout the session, sharing their thoughts and experiences while engaging in meaningful discussions. The bicycle analogy helped them appreciate the importance of combining practical skills with entrepreneurial knowledge and the ability to adapt to changing business environments.
Many participants expressed that the training changed their perspective on entrepreneurship. They acknowledged that skills alone are not enough to build a successful business and committed themselves to developing the right mindset, seeking mentorship, embracing continuous learning, and applying sound business practices.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion and feedback, where participants demonstrated a deeper understanding of the principles of sustainable entrepreneurship. The positive response from the students reflected the impact of the training and reinforced the importance of empowering individuals not only with skills but also with the knowledge, support systems, and confidence needed to build thriving and sustainable enterprises.
