SIXTH WEEK REPORT – TAILORING DEPARTMENT

SIXTH WEEK REPORT – TAILORING DEPARTMENT
The sixth week in the Tailoring Department was highly practical and engaging, as we continued to develop our sewing and design skills under the supervision of the Admin, Mrs. Joy Nweke.
During this week, we focused on fabric handling, cutting techniques, and basic pattern arrangement. Mrs. Joy Nweke guided us through the correct methods of measuring and aligning fabric before cutting, emphasizing accuracy and neatness. She demonstrated how improper measurement can affect the final outcome of a garment, which helped us understand the importance of precision in tailoring.
We were also introduced to simple design layouts and how to properly place patterns on fabric to avoid waste. Mrs. Joy Nweke carefully monitored our work, corrected our mistakes, and provided helpful instructions that improved our confidence and skill level.
In addition, teamwork and active participation were encouraged throughout the session. We worked together, shared ideas, and learned from one another under her supervision, making the learning process more effective and enjoyable.
In conclusion, the sixth week was very productive. The guidance and support from Mrs. Joy Nweke helped us gain practical knowledge and improve our tailoring techniques, preparing us for more advanced tasks in the future.
