Staff Retreat

On Friday, July 4th, 2025, our staff gathered for a retreat focused on improving performance and fostering a stronger sense of purpose. The retreat was a crucial step in reinforcing our commitment to the organization’s mission and goals.

Welcome and Opening Remarks

The session begin with a short prayer, followed by a warm welcome from the Founder, Hon. justice O. A. Taiwo. She explained that the retreat was necessary to help staff members learn and grow, emphasizing the importance of continuous improvement within each department. The Founder then briefly introduced the facilitator and encouraged everyone to participate actively

The administrator also welcomed the team, highlighting the importance of taking ownership of the NGO. She stressed that commitment and dedication are key to achieving our collective goals. Before introducing the main speaker, the administrator read the facilitator’s professional profile, setting the stage for the presentation.

“Motivation for Peak Performance”

The retreat’s centerpiece was a presentation by Mrs. Fabamwo on the topic, ” Motivation for Peak Performance”. Her session was highly interactive, starting with an overview of the fundamentals of an NGO and its core activities. She then explored various factors that drive motivation. The discussion was collaborative, with staff members sharing their own views on what motivates them and offering ideas on how they could contribute to the organization’s growth. Mrs. Fabamwo’s presentation reinforced the importance of three key principles for making progress in all our work: Be relevant, Be recognized and Be rewarded.

The retreat successfully re-energized the team and provided valuable insights into personal and professional motivation. The discussions on ownership and commitment have set a clear path forward for achieving our goals with renewed purpose
