In the Tailoring Department, topics like embellishment and customer relationship were taught. Embellishment has to do with making of different colour patterns on plain materials for uniqueness.
Tailoring Department 4 topics were taught: Body structure, measurement, how to cut and sew by the resource person, Mr Ifeanyi. A number of demonstrations were done.
In this Month of August, the Tailoring Department training continues as they go into embellishment, craft work, etc
The teacher of the tailoring department took the students through the scheme of work.
Using real materials to teach the students, Mrs. Afolayan taught them how to cut and sew both flay and six piece skirt as well as blouse. While Mr. ifeanyi taught them how to measure and sew palaso trousers.
The students were taught by the resource person, Mrs. Afolayan, how to make six piece and straight skirt. They were seen using brown paper to practice. The creative designer, Mr. Ifeanyi, also taught them on color combination and use of fabric.
The resource person, Mrs Afolayan, is seen demonstrating using a student to train other students on how to take body measurements. Learning how to paddle the sewing machine continues with the new ones in the Tailoring department.
Every student is attached to a sewing machine. Their resource person, Mr. Ifeanyi Orji, took them on communication with your client. After which Mrs Afolayan, then took them on paddling of the sewing machine.
