The students were taught how to start making various skirt designs by Mrs Afolayan, while Mr. Iffeanyi, the creative designer, taught them how to sketch and draw beautiful cloth designs using their sketch pad.
Still on the catering and confectionery department, the BOT, Mrs Ogunkelu, did not only train the students, she also gave each of the students a start up kit. This is her own way of encouraging them to continue in this business with all their heart. The students were so overwhelmed that they prayed for her with so much passion….
The Catering and Confectionery department had the privilege of having one of our BOT, Mrs Ogunkelu, train them on carrot cake and red velvet cake. she gave the students a booklet that showed step by step method of making the cakes. The students were happy to learn a new and simple method of making delicious cakes.
The students in the ICT department were seen learning how to type. The resource person, Mr Seyi, ensured that every student type a document and save.
A LITTLE SLEEP A LITTLE SLUMBER EMPOWERMENT OUTREACH RECEIVED AN AWARD AS THE OUTSTANDING NGO OF THE YEAR 2021. IT WAS PRESENTED BY AFRICA SKILLS CENTRE, SOUTH AFRICA AND LION OUTREACH INTERNATIONAL USA ON THE 12TH OF JUNE 2021 AT THE HOTEL CHEZ LANDO, KIGALI RWANDA.
Mr. Ifeanyi Precious, the Resource Person in the fashion design department, is seen training the students on creating patterns with colors on plain fabric.
At the annual/end of the year meeting of A Little Sleep A Little Slumber Empowerment Outreach, The Founder Hon. Justice Oluwatoyin Abosede Taiwo took the time to admonish the women that attended the meeting about Self Worth, Financial Integrity, and Advocacy using examples from the Bible.
There was a free eye screening for all the women that attended the meeting. This was made possible by the Founder of A Little Sleep A Little Slumber Empowerment Outreach Hon. Justice Oluwatoyin Abosede Taiwo. As a lover and advocate of women, over 200 women got the opportunity of having their eyes screened and had free reading glasses.
